As I was putting together the upcoming Winter 2019 Issue of Willow and Sage, I had the opportunity to experiment with making bath bombs. Bath bombs are hard-packed mixtures of dry ingredients and oils which effervesce when wet. They add scent, bubbles, or color to your bathwater. These fizzy products are all the rage, and I’ve been known to buy a couple and give them away as gifts. So, why not learn the ins and outs of making them at home where I could customize the recipe to each recipient?

I love using essential oils, but recently a friend freaked out when she was over while I was working with cinnamon oil. I have two cats and she’d read that some essential oils are toxic to cats.
