Now that the holidays have come and gone, I am preparing to say goodbye to this year and hello to what’s next! As the New Year approaches, I am taking the time to reflect on the previous one and think ahead to what the next year might look like. It’s a thrill to think how much has changed in that amount of time. It can be a difficult task recalling some experiences and emotions, but the ritual is helpful to process what’s been going on and how I might change or improve upon it moving forward. Here are 20 ways I’m starting this new year off right. Would you care to join me?

Here in Southern California, autumn weather often doesn’t start until closer to the holidays. Those who don’t live in this locale tend to idolize the idyllic image of a never-ending summer, but some of us crave the moment when the weather finally starts to cool. A few of my colleagues— myself included — prefer this time of year when the weather dips in temperature. Regardless of the outside climate, it’s simple to bring coziness indoors with an essential oil diffuser. Our friend Kaetlyn Kennedy shared eight essential oil blends with us in our Autumn 2019 Issue, and below I’m giving you a peek at four of her blends to encourage the season of cozy. To see more, check out the issue or follow along with Kaetlyn on Instagram(@girlincalico).
