As Thanksgiving nears, let’s remember to show ourselves some extra gratitude. Life becomes hectic with family members in town, pies to bake, and not to mention Christmas gifts to start purchasing. For me this year, I’m making a conscious effort to slow down and be present this week, and hopefully throughout the remaining year. Below are 25 ideas to say thank-you to yourself. And remember, there are no rules to this list, so spread the thankfulness and share an activity or two with a friend or family member.
1. Relax with an at-home pedicure
2. Do morning yoga stretches before putting the turkey in the oven
3. Enjoy an after-dinner Thanksgiving stroll
4. Go on a coffee date with yourself
5. Face masks with the whole family
6. Write in a gratitude journal
7. Give a hug
8. Listen to your favorite podcast
9. Turn off social media for the day
10. Remind yourself of all you’ve accomplished this year
11. Buy yourself flowers
12. Eat pie for breakfast
13. Take an early morning walk
14. Sing along to your favorite song
15. Read a few chapters
16. Take a bath
17. Snuggle up with your pets
18. Watch an extra episode of your favorite show
19. Drink a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider
20. Leave the dishes for tomorrow
21. Have a spontaneous dance party
22. Try a new diffuser blend
23. Light a candle (or two!)
24. Tidy your room
25. Wear comfy clothes all day
