As I was putting together the upcoming Winter 2019 Issue of Willow and Sage, I had the opportunity to experiment with making bath bombs. Bath bombs are hard-packed mixtures of dry ingredients and oils which effervesce when wet. They add scent, bubbles, or color to your bathwater. These fizzy products are all the rage, and I’ve been known to buy a couple and give them away as gifts. So, why not learn the ins and outs of making them at home where I could customize the recipe to each recipient?

For those of us who sit in an office or at a computer for over six hours a day, stretching and exercising often feels like an evasive task on the to-do list. It’s easy to start an assignment one minute and, the next time you look at the clock, a couple hours have disappeared. To combat this, I aim to take a stroll outside my office building every morning.
