As we flip the page on September and welcome October, it’s time to bring out the spooktacular decorations, feel-good movies, and snuggly sweaters. Autumn has officially arrived, and Halloween will be upon us before we know it. I’m in the throes of deciding my daughter’s first costume and readying my house for the season. Whether you like a scary or pumpkin-filled holiday, it’s the perfect time to infuse coziness into your daily life, as the days shorten and temperatures drop.
Diffusers are one of my favorite ways to create a comforting atmosphere inside the home. With so many scents to choose from, the blends can be customized to suit your mood. Below, I’ve included three of our favorite essential oil blends to diffuse in October. Each one will help bring a sense of calm, cozy, and cheer as the weather darkens. Happy Halloween from all of us at Willow and Sage!
2 drops clove
2 drops ginger
2 drops frankincense
2 drops cedarwood
3 drops orange
2 drops rosemary
2 drops eucalyptus
2 drops balsam fir
1 drop lemon
2 drops cinnamon
3 drops ginger

The witch’s spell diffuser blend in the magazine calls for 1drop of ginger
2 drops if ginger
2 drops of fennel
is that a misprint?
Is there a missing ingredient?
I love all the blends but I need clarification on this one. Thanks
Hello! Yes, it’s incorrect in the autumn issue. We included a note on the winter issue Table of Contents with that clarification 🙂 The correct recipe is:
1 drop ginger
2 drops vertiver
2 drops fennel
Love the names of the diffuser blends! Definitely going to give the a try. Thanks!
