Words: Kayla Lobermeier
It’s usually this time of year when I start making lemon-scented everything. It smells so clean and fresh! I decided that a new body scrub was in order for that very purpose, but with a tangerine and grapefruit twist this time. Wonderful for your body, hands, and feet, this scrub will rejuvenate your spirit to help you celebrate springtime.
-1 cup granulated sugar
-½ cup brown sugar
-½ cup jojoba oil
-2 TB. vitamin E oil
-2 TB. Castile soap: citrus-scented
-Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
-20 drops tangerine essential oil
-20 drops grapefruit essential oil
-Bowl: small
-Airtight container
-Fabric scrap
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until fully incorporated. Store in a container with an airtight lid. If using lemon zest, this scrub will expire more quickly because the ingredients are fresh. If giving the scrub to a friend, add a scrap of fabric to the top of the container before securing the lid. To use, apply a small amount to wet skin and gently exfoliate. Wash away with warm water. This scrub is not intended for the face.
