Thanks to Amy Poehler and the show “Parks and Recreation,” the month of February isn’t all about romantic love anymore. Since the birth of Galentine’s Day, friendships all over are elevated and honored this time of year. This spring, let’s carry the Galentine’s Day spirit with us all throughout the season. After a long year of social distancing, I know I’m not the only one missing my friends and loved ones.
To help shine a light on your friendships, I’ve compiled a list of ways to lift up your gal pals as well as celebrate together from a distance. And don’t forget to give yourself some self-care too. These ideas can be enjoyed with a friend, via a video chat, or as a treat to yourself. It’s time to support the ladies who make up your team.
-Host a game night over video chat
-Watch a cheesy romantic comedy
-Go on a heart-shaped nature scavenger hunt
-Eat your favorite foods
-Enjoy an at-home mani and pedi
-Make a floral arrangement with spring flowers
-Indulge in heart-shaped doughnuts
-Write and mail old-fashioned letters
-Bake together over video chat
-Send a galentine $5 for a just-because latte
-Treat yourself to a bath soak
-Dance it out with a sweet playlist
