I am sensitive to smells and prone to headaches, both tension and migraines. Since my headaches are easily triggered by scents, I have to be careful with my bath and body products — no strong floral candles or scented lotions for me. There’s nothing like a bathtub soak to reduce stress and help ease tension in my body, so I decided to make my own bath salts without a crazy scent. The dried chamomile flowers and rosebuds with the Epsom salt provide the right amount of sensory stimulation without overpowering it. This recipe couldn’t be easier to make and only takes a few ingredients, yet it is packed with skin-care benefits. If you’re sensitive to smells like I am, I hope you enjoy this simple DIY and treat yourself to an at-home spa treatment.
Fresh-smelling soap is sure to get you in the mood for warmer weather and the arrival of a new season! Not only are these lemongrass and ginger soaps simple to make, but they also make great gifts. Adding details such as a sand dollar and starfish or sprinkling with herbs makes for the perfect little embellishment!

As the weather warms up, we might find ourselves at home more than normal this summer. Vacations and outings might look a little different, but we can still bring the seasonal spirit into our homes. I love doing this with essential oil diffuser blends. Each blend can be formulated for a specific mood and help to keep some normalcy in our lives. Below are a few of my favorite blends to diffuse at home this summer.
