Sugar scrubs are one of the best — and simplest — recipes to master when it comes to your homemade bath and body routine. Most likely, you already have the supplies in your kitchen cupboards, and this is one of those recipes that welcomes substitutions. You can experiment with various carrier oils depending on your skin type and needs, as well as different types of sugar. When it comes to sugar, one with a coarser grain will provide a more powerful exfoliant. The following basic recipe doesn’t include any additives, like essential oils, spices or herbs, or seeds; feel free to add on to the recipe as it best suits your skin-care routine. Make sure to follow safety guidelines when using essential oils, and have fun pampering your skin!
