Once summertime hits, my feet need some care. As the weather warms up, I’m rarely seen wearing shoes, preferring to run around either barefoot or in sandals. Not only do my feet seem to get dirty quickly, but they are also prone to soreness, dry skin, and cracked heels. If I stay on top of caring for them from the beginning of the season, I can typically keep these issues under control. This detox foot soak is one of the ways I do this.

When I was growing up, my mother kept a rose garden. She loved roses so much that she lined one side of our driveway and the entire front of our house with a rose hedge. I remember how excited she would be when each rosebush bloomed. We would smell the new flowers and decide which ones we liked best. All summer long our house was filled with bouquets of fresh roses, and the fragrance of the blooms filled every room.
