As I write this blog post, Thanksgiving is a mere two days away. The last-minute grocery shopping, cleaning, and prepping are all underway, and we’re paving the way for a day filled with love and laughter. Family is in town, and it’s feeling a bit more normal than last year. It is the start to the holiday season and paves the way for festive gatherings and making memories.  It’s a time to slow down and remember what we are thankful for and all that we are blessed with from the past year. These last couple years have been challenging, and it’s helped me be more cognizant of those around me and sharing what I can. I was lucky to be able to stay home and away from germs as much as possible, sending my husband out for grocery runs when needed. Due to this isolation and being cautious once the baby was born, it has been a while since I’ve caught a cold — that is until now. Going back into the office and socializing with more people means being exposed to more germs and viruses.

Recipe featured inside Willow and Sage Autumn 2020

This whipped pumpkin spice body butter will keep your skin looking and feeling amazing. The recipe is perfect for your fall skin-care routine and is made with shea butter, pumpkin seed oil, and lanolin. Whipping the body butter makes air pockets and gives the final product a soft, fluffy, airy texture that will melt into the skin. We scented the body butter with an essential oil blend inspired by pumpkin pie spice that smells warm and cozy — perfect to care for your autumn skin.
